The first attempt of the night left Heroic Putricide heavily wounded at a 2.8% wipe. The 2nd attempt left him at 1.8%! Having such low numbers with our first few attempts of the night left us very excited for a kill.
In classic fashion RNG started messing with our heads after those first few attempts and left us at a cliffhanger.
Finally, we noticed that our mages were both spec’d fire! We would have one shot the bastard if we had our 3% damage increase buffs!
After realizing this I bribed the guild with some Shadowmourne goodies and we killed him shortly afterwards.

The only thing left for us now is the Lich King, bring it on!

Hey man, 1337 shot!

This heroic Sindragosa kill shot came after a night of interesting events.
First off a bowl of hamburger soup attacked a chair, and while all that was going on some dice started rolling. Shockingly we had two people roll 1337s back to back (on 1 – 1337 rolls). We took this as an omen and killed her right after that!
As a reward we resurrected THE CLAM JOKE!

In other news we also killed Lady Deathwhisper! Our first kill wasn’t the most spectacular, but we only took 4 pulls to get it down.
Next on the hit list? Putricide!

As if the clouds parted and gave us a fresh ray of sunlight the pass few weeks of raiding have been fantastic. We got many heroic first kills in Icecrown Citadel 25, and now we only have Deathwhisper, Putricide, Sindragosa, and Arthas left to conquer.

Above is a video of our heroic Blood Queen kill. It doesn’t look much different from the normal version, but I promise it’s on heroic. As advertised, it does make the vampires glitter. Honestly, I’m not sure if glittering vampires is a good thing.

Atop the gigantic pillar of ice known as the frozen throne we present to you a dead lich king!
In the end I find it funny that everyone forgets about the blazing chained up guy hanging above the throne.
Now that the king is dead what do we do? Heroics! That’s what.
Speaking of heroics we already have three of them down (yes this update is a week late).
/mourn Heroic: Marrowgar, Gunship, and Dreamwalker in our first night.

Them bones cost a virgin

This pretty pile of bones came at the heavy price of a sacrificed virgin, sad to say.
After a long night of strategy changes to Sindragosa and a lot of grumbling we came back the next day with renewed spirit, a thirst for vengeance, and a virgin on the altar. Surprisingly enough this seemed to be a great recipe for one shotting an undead dragon.
So is the lost of a virgin worth it?
I think so, not only is the path to The Lich King open to us, but we can start collecting Shadowfrost Shards as well.

Vampires, Concoctions, and HerPS. Oh my!

The first week of February gave us a great week of raiding. Blizzard majorly screwed up and did us a favor by doing so. It was basically like going to Disneyland with a 2fer deal. On Tuesday night we cleared everything but the wing bosses and came back on Wednesday with everything re-spawned I had my doubts about fitting everything into our three day raid schedule.
Despite the time restriction we proved to be efficient and not only cleared everything again but got guild firsts on Dreamwalker, Putricide, and Blood Queen all this week!
Now, my only regret is not killing the wing bosses on Tuesday night.

Even though I made fun of Sham for a good 30 minutes about getting a new Mac I think it serves him (and us) very well. Here’s a video courtesy of Sham’s Mac!

Heroic: Twin Valkyrs killshot

Despite the lack of a retribution paladin and enhance shaman in the raid we were able to kill the Twin Valkyrs tonight on Heroic 25 difficulty. *hint hint*

It was quite the entertaining path that lead us to this victory. We had the same melee heavy faction champions composition for five weeks in a row, which we now kill with confidence. We had our Ventrilo server fail on us, to which we thank the now former Erebus for letting us use their server. Finally we had a great conversation about switching targets. Through all of the fire and flames (yes I’m listening to Dragonforce right now) we were able to get our kill. I’m sure we would have gotten this kill sooner if I wasn’t so stubborn about using Blood Lust, but hey I guess the women are always right… right?

Congratulations to Ölrun, Thant, Seoir, and Onnon on their new iLevel 258 loot.

Well after a horrible start with the server stability in the first week, we still managed to stay ahead of the curve with our casualcore raid schedule. I must say, if you subtract the fight for Winter’s Grasp, the multitude of bugs, and the absurd amount of nurfs, this was a great dungeon. Maybe some of those nurfs were needed, what do we know, we’re casuals. Regardless it’s over and done with and time to move on to hardmodes. It needs to be said, I have a hardmode in my pants, I’m so witty.

On another note, I’m tired of bumping the recruitment thread on the stupid Hyjal boards, so I’ll shamelessly posting here too. We’re recruiting for one holy paladin and one resto shaman with a splash of elemental. So please register and PM your applications to Shilla.

Of all content! Yes we did it, just like everyone else. Not to undermine other people’s efforts but, Naxxaramas is a joke, even compared to Karazhan. Obsidian isn’t even worth mentioning unless you’ve got some drakes up, and one drake doesn’t make it hard, just more interesting. Then there is Malygos, it’s all about execution but this fight is awesome. It’s not the pinnacle of the raid scene, but it sure is fun. So here you go, a pic of blotches of red with name plates.

He nearly sapped our will to live but in the end FA prevails. Sure, Sintez managed to dispel instead of clicking random UI buttons, and Shilla made it through almost a whole fight before pulling aggro but what made the difference was a picture of Stockade and his pony.

Apparently the only one who took a screenshot was Zenmetsu. Bask in the 1024×768 glory.

Seriously, 1998 called, it wants its monitor back. …I kid!
